Then it was moving day. Out of the whelping box where there is no view into the Great Room with tv and the sounds of the kitchen close by. Friends, the Carsons lent me the Don Carson Original Romper Room for the pups. It is divided into 2 areas: One for playing and sleeping; one for beginning potty training. The 'litter box' you see is to encourage the pups to potty in one area; when they are a little bigger, they should be able to walk over the board that separates the big Potty area.
Sunday afternoon was family visitation. Krista, Mark and Grayson (who are getting a male pup and neighbors Christy, Brey, Gracie, and extended family) spent over an hour passing puppies around. And they had the fun of introducing the pups to baby food from their fingers. Lindsay, when offered the jar "to try it" was polite, took a fingerful and put it in her mouth!!!
That evening the babes had their first taste of food from a plate. On Wed, Christy came and took a video of 'lunch time'. . .(just click on the arrow to view)
After such a day of excitement, rest came easily ...and we all had a quiet, restful night. Taylor-Maria likes the new arrangement as she can go in and out easily; come up to bed with Claire for awhile then pop back down to check on the pup-sters.
